The Muladhara chakra is the Basic chakra, also called root chakra, is located in the crotch area. This chakra connects us to the material world. It transfers cosmic energies to our physical and earthly layers and induces a stabilizing energy of the earth flowing energy in the body. Muladhara is Foundation for the activities of the other chakras, as well as for our existence and development. It connects us with the earth, protecting and nourishing us, giving us life connection with this source energy. It gives us a sense of confidence and stability that we need for our development on all levels. The more firmly we stand on earth, the easier and easier it becomes for our physical existence in the material world.
